Newest version, 313 , fixed the problem so many of us were having with the app crashing upon opening. Glad the camera is working great again.

The newest updates have opened up the appeal to literally every type of phone camera user - I personally lock mine to classic mode out of habit - but the new functionality is great!! They continue to supply amazing film and lens packs, and the overall image quality, user interface, style is all amazing. Shout out to Allan on the support team - if you ever have an issue with the product the support team is AMAZING - Allan worked with me for over a week on a weird issue I was having and got me a solution. Bottom line: Hipstamatic is by far the best camera application on ANY mobile platform. And the closet competition is miles away. Thanks!!!

Update: the app is always giving an error message and crashing. The rest of my review still holds true as the problems are the same... This was my favorite app. I loved letting the film and lenses edit photos for me. My biggest problem is taking photos just to have them never develop. As someone who uses this app while running I dont realize I wasted my time taking photos which disappeared until I am finished running and unable to capture the moment. I dont like the new library being able to access all photos. I am not interested in using hipstamatic to edit previous photos. I do like being able to zoom in for photos but that is the only new feature I like. Hopefully this will be the rare, lucky day my photos randomly develop and appear later, or days later. I wish I hadnt wasted money on purchasing film and lenses on an app that doesnt process my photos.

The appeal of hipstamatic was that you made choices about the lens and film you used beforehand. I used to have so much fun seeing how things would turn out. Now that you can edit it after the fact, it has lost the thing that made it unique. In and of itself, its not bad. Its got all the stuff that comes standard in every other camera and photo editing app. But thats the problem. Oh well. Well see if it sticks around on my phone or not.

I loved the original hipstamatic circa 2011. The new one has way too many features it makes it difficult to use. I dont want to edit my photo within the app. I want it to be non modifiable after I take a pic. Thats the original beauty of the app. Also, the bugs. Oh the bugs. It constantly crashes. I dont want multiple ratios. Only square. Thats the quaint beauty of it. If I want to change ratios Ill use another app. Over all still not bad, but its too cumbersome and buggy that I dont regularly use it anymore. Only on occasion, and fight it every time I do use it. Cut the beds and whistles, fix the bugs, and youd have yourself a great hipster camera app.

Your app is SO FRUSTRATING! the best app hands down but its ALWAYS CRASHING! Please hire some good coders and fix your code or you will lose loyal customers. Please!

I love it.i had this for a long time and never use it but I been using it for the last months.i have all the films and lenses and I want more.... When is the 300 version going to release? Why cant I share multiple pictures to Facebook

I still love this app. I am starting to get used to the new filters and all the new options. I do want to mention that the customer service is amazing. Ive only talked with Allan, so Im assuming he is the only one doing it. He has always answered my questions fast. He always makes sure the problem is solved. I very much appreciate him.

Ive used Hipstamatic for years now. At times Ive tried to download and use other camera app, but always find myself coming back to this app. They are doing some magical things behind the scenes and it shows through. Hands down the highest quality camera app available on the App Store.

This is my go-to app for taking pictures since it was first released. I love that I can now go in and edit pictures from my Photos folder -- it was a long time coming! Keep adding new films and lenses, please, because I enjoy the variety!

I accidentally updated your app and Im not impressed. One of my most used buttons was "match" settings, which doesnt seem to work now. I have to push several buttons to get there, and then get an error message when I ask it to match. My favorites disappeared. Ive bought nearly every pack you have and shouldnt have to struggle to use an app Ive invested so much money into. Please fix these issues.

Well after years of crappy interfaces, the app finally took it to a new level and lost photos during an import to my iMac. Every single photo I took during the day with Hipstamatic is gone. I wonder where they went. May be the “Wolf Pack” ate them (yup I read the article about what dolts you are but I hung in for a few more years anyway.) Well, finally and permanently deleted the app.
